Forensic Video Analysis from Review to Controlled Handover

Avacs

Review footage | Triage motion events | Maintain evidence integrity and provenance

AVACS brings forensic video review, motion detection, event triage, extraction, redaction and controlled handover into one offline-capable application, while keeping the original evidence untouched.

TURN VIDEO EVIDENCE INTO A STRUCTURED REVIEW WORKFLOW

Long video recordings can require analysts to review substantial amounts of footage before identifying activity relevant to an investigation. AVACS combines forensic playback with motion detection and event triage to support the review of video evidence. Motion detection can be applied across the whole scene or within a selected region of interest. Detected events are presented in a chronological triage queue where analysts can review, flag or dismiss events, add notes and track review coverage. The analyst remains in control of determining what is relevant to the investigation.

From Video Review to Investigative Output

AVACS provides the tools to review video evidence, identify motion events and create the visual material needed for further investigation or disclosure, while keeping the original evidence unchanged.

Forensic Playback and Triage

Review and navigate video evidence precisely. Use motion detection to organise detected activity into a structured queue for analyst review.

Extract and annotate

Create still images and precise video clips directly from the verified working copy without altering the original evidence. Extracted stills can be annotated with text, arrows and boxes. Each annotated image is created as a new output, leaving the clean extracted still unchanged.

Redact

Redact sensitive visual information using black box, blur or pixelation across selected areas of the footage. For moving subjects, AVACS provides tracking assistance that proposes positions across frames. The analyst reviews and confirms these positions before the final redacted output is created.

MAINTAIN EVIDENCE INTEGRITY AND PROVENANCE

AVACS does not alter the original evidence file. When video evidence is imported, the original is kept read-only and a verified working copy is created for analysis.

Clips, stills, annotations and redactions are created as separate outputs, while processing activities are recorded in an audit trail.

This maintains a traceable relationship between the original evidence, the processing performed and the resulting outputs.
